May'n!!!!

May'n~~~

She's my fav. female singer of the recent. She has a powerful and strong voice unlike the most of the J-pop singers. She debuted in 2005 with the single Crazy Crazy Crazy under her full name May Nakabayashi but wasn't well received. Until 2007, when she was choosen to be the singing voice of Sheryl Nome in Macross Frontier. She shot right to fame because of that character and that's how i get to know her songs~~~ She changed her name to May'n in 2008, taken from May Nakabayashi - implying her wish to become a "main" artist in the world. I was honoured to go to her st live outside of Japan, which is the AFA 08 in Singapore. It was so breath taking, I got attracted to her voice at that moment. She sounded as good as the recorded song in live..then, she returned to Singapore for AFA 09, but I didnt went to catch her live..But AFA X, i went to watch her concert again~~ hahahaha..It somehow just reminded how I become her fans since 08..hahahaha, and she waved to me TWICE during the performance because everyone in front of me was sitting down and partly becuase i was holding at least 10 lightsticks, at least 10..i dont know how come i ended with so many,everyone just gave me their's but there's only 6 of us..hahaha, don't care already, just wave..hahaha and i was wearing super flashy Kamen Rider T-shirt..hahahaha, she was smiling at me when she was waving to me~~~ so touched siol..GOT eye contact 1 horz..hahahahaha..The concert in AFA X consist of SCANDAL, ANGELA and May'n, all of us went because of SCANDAL but i was the only who likes May'n as well, so they just dump the lightsticks to me..hahahahaha

It will be nice if i can be the drummer for her back up band~~ hahaha

The weekdays on the x'mas week is more or less the same..just that it's 1/2 day on the 24th..hahaha, went back office..i saw two presents (from Shimin and Siti) was on my table..so touched siol..hahaha, then ppl in the office started to exchange gifts, and Patrick gave me 1 followed by Susan..I'm like "Damn, i got bought nth for them for x'mas.." So embrassing sia..Totally wasn't expecting it..so yar.. After work, went punggol plaza to get a hair cut, and the auntie who always cut for me goes " aiyo, u very long time nv cut ar?? out of shape already " "Yar, so it's time to get it back in shape..hahaha" i said to her.. after hair cut, i just went home and spend the day at home..Preparing for the 25th, the dinner with the band~~~

Went dinner at Pariss International at Marina Sq on X'mas day, a fun one of course..hahaha, since when we're not having fun out as a band..hahaha..finally managed to see Luke after his first 2 weeks in Tekong..

A fun day out, with me missing my last train..hahaha..We'll always be a band, be as bonded as we are, a family no matter when, where, how..even if 1 of us go overseas or what. Oh, we also have decided to change our band name to LiAR..It means Love is wAR!!!

Just Be Friends?!?!?!

Saw a youtube video acouple of months ago, there's this 2 dudes covering Megurine Luka's famous Just Be Friends song, acoustic ver. using guitar and cajon.. I re- watch this video on monday and started thinking " hey, now that i got the Bango Cajon, i think we can give it a shot.." and i went to ask sean, he said we can try so i went to his house on sat..and we started to jam..we faced the problems like singing, hahaha..so we waited for cheris and meng hui to reach then we start again..We did 2 more songs as well, 1 is Love Will Keep Us Alive by Eagles and Kuroi Namida by Anna Tsuchiya..I'm sure you all have heard the Kuroi Namida before if you went fo the BBQ last month, hahaha..We jammed till 7 or 8 plus then we went for dinner and everyone go their seperate ways~~ Well, i guess this is a typical weekend for me, hanging out with friends, jamming with the band, hahaha.. Btw, we managed to record down Just Be Friends..and i've uploaded to YouTube..there are a no. mistakes so yar, but we're gona record again, a better one of course..in the mean time, enjoy this first!!

STGCC 2010 Day 2!!!???

Day 2, I went with Ashley..The cosplayers are gone, i guess they went to the EOY instead..Well, it's better for us cause Ashley don't really like anime stuffs, and i think STGCC is meant for comics stuff, mainly those superheroes or star wars..But saturday was like a cosplay event or some anime event..so, without the cosplayers and stuff the hall was more acessible and we're able to see more things..ahhaha

And i managed to take a pic with our childhood heroes!!

This is how I got Luka Chan home..in my pocket..

When we're walking, i saw this Luka plushie and starting to think " Shit, shld i get it?! " Actually, I got a Black Rocker Shooter on saturday, so i begin to think should i or should i not..until to a point Ashley got fed up..hahaha..In the end, i decided to get it, then the sales told me they went out of plastic bags..What the Heck sia..Nevertheless, i still got her..And she's my "daughter" hahaha, hence the surname, hahaha(acutally, -chan in Jap is little, eg. Luka-chan in jap = xiao Luka in chinese or Little Luka in eng) So i was carrying her in this way back home..and of course, there are ppl giving me the weird looks..Well, if you know me, i will just give ppl the " I don't give a shit attitude " Yeaaaaaaaaah~~ So yar, that concludes my day 2 @ STGCC,

STGCC 2010 Day 1???!!!

When 2010 is coming to an end, events starts to appear one by one!! First is AFA then this Singapore Toys, Games and Comics Convention aka STGCC, which is held for 4 days..but i went on the 11th and 12th Dec..As usual, i went 2 days again..this time, the 2nd day is espionge action..hahaha..

A BBQ to remember??!!

27th Nov, is a day to remember for me and the band..Is the day where we got out 1st BBQ and our FIRST performance!!!

All in all a good event though..We only managed to book the pit less than 3weeks before the actual, and of course, someone...We practiced on 20th and 21st frm morning till late evening and afew days before the actual event..But nothing seems to be prepared enough for it, maybe it's just me but hey, everything turn out damn smoothly, and good..so yar, nothing to complain about!! hahhaha.. Prior to having a band, i never had the chance to organise a BBQ event or maybe just a event, so i'm grateful for everyone to make the BBQ happen, so i like to thank the rest of the band for the effort!! And of course, our " Satayman " Victor for cooking the whole night, and Johnathan for being the cameraman!!

My Band!!

Allow me to introduce my band, EOS..We're a 5 piece band coming from all places, hahaha..We do rock, pop..anything that sound nice to you and me!! We're preparing for our debut..Although it is rough at times, i think we can pull it thru!!!

EOS are:
Vocals : Meng Hui
Guitars: Sean and Luke
Bass: Cheris
Drums: Me!!!

EOS started off with only Me and Luke, we were classmates for sometime.It was only just for having fun kinda jam..Slowly, we got cheris to join us, who is luke's junior as the bassist..And Meng Zi recommended her sister, Meng Hui to join us for a session and here we are, a vocalist..And here comes Sean, the guitarist!! He was recommended to me by our DEAR CPT RAYMOND, who still brags about "because of me, u all are a band" hahahahaha..Anyway, Cpt Raymond, Thank You Very Much!!! =)

AFA X!?

Well, this is kinda backdated..the event was extactly a month ago but yar, hahaha..But hey, we get to see MAY'N, SCANDAL and ANGELA live!!! This is the second time i went to see May'n performing live in SG. The first time was in 2008, when i was in " having cup noodles at 4am with ashely somewhere, cannot give details.. " It was the first AFA ever and May'n's first performance overseas!!! We went both days, 13th and 14th..13th was to ' scout ' the place and 14th was the actual concert.

Sheryl Nome, the Galactic Fairy!! She's the reason why i LOVE May'n's songs!!!
